The short version

This website collects only what you choose to give it. If you join the email list, that means your first name and email address. Nothing is sold, rented, or shared with advertisers. You can leave the list at any time with one click.

What is collected

• Email list signups. If you subscribe, your first name and email address are collected and stored by Flodesk, the email service used to send newsletters. You confirm your subscription by clicking a link in a confirmation email.
• Messages you send. If you email through a link on this site, that email and anything in it goes to the practice inbox.
• Basic server information. Like nearly all websites, the host (Netlify) records standard technical information such as IP addresses and browser types for security and reliability.

What is not collected

This website does not use advertising trackers, and it does not ask for or store health information. Please do not send personal health details through website links or the email signup form — those channels are not secure and are not part of any medical record. To discuss your health, contact the clinic directly and use the patient portal.

How information is used

Your email address is used to send newsletters — new podcast episodes, course announcements, and occasional writing about gut health — and to answer you if you write in. That's it. Information is never sold or given to advertisers.

Who else handles it

Two service providers make this site work: Flodesk (email list and newsletters) and Netlify (website hosting). Each handles data under its own privacy policy.

Your choices

Every newsletter includes an unsubscribe link that works immediately. You may also ask for a copy of what's stored about you, or ask for it to be deleted, by emailing info@openwellnesspdx.com.
